Understanding intellectual property (IP) laws

Mihaela Bodlovic, 2019

We’re working with Anderson Strathern to develop a session explaining the different types of intellectual property (IP) most commonly applicable in the arts and heritage community, and how to protect your intellectual property, particularly on the internet.

During this short session/webinar, you’ll address:

  • What is intellectual property?
  • Why is it important to the creative community?
  • What are the different types of intellectual property?
  • Who owns intellectual property when it is created?

And you’ll also explore ways to protect your intellectual property through social media, websites (including domain names and terms and conditions) and mailing lists.

Please note that our Business Briefings are designed to provide completely up-to-date information so topic details within each session may change to reflect this.

Ideal if… you are a self-employed professional or a professional working within organisations operating in the creative community.
